USA Jump Rope would like to congratulate all the competitors who participated this past weekend in the 2012 US Trials Qualifying Tournament in Brighton Michigan. These competitors qualify to represent Team USA at the 2012 FISAC-IRSF World Rope Skipping Championships and World Youth Tournament hosted by USA Jump Rope at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida - July 30 - August 9, 2012.

The results for this competition are now available for download on the "Results" page of the USAJR website. Any questions regarding scores can be addressed in an email to the competition committee and forwarded to info@usajumprope.org.

The 2012 Regional Tournament software is now available in the "Coaches Corner" page on our website. If you are a Coach and are a current 2012 member, you can access this page by logging in using your membership number and your first name. Lee Reisig and Billy Jackson, Two members of USAJR, are currently touring with Cirque Dreams overseas and they are doing a wonderful job of representing the organization and the sport of Jump Rope. Recently, they paid a visit to a local army base in Incirlik, Turkey and put on a performance for our troops. The "Jungle Fantasy" show, described on the Cirque Dreams website as "an exotic encounter inspired by nature's unpredictable creations that are brought to life," featured entertainers and artists of various sorts to include acrobats, contortionists, jugglers and musicians.

"It's great performing for military because they're so grateful for our show that they're always really loud and cheering; and that always gives us energy on stage, and it feels like we're really appreciated," said Lee "Jungle Boy" Reisig, who performs the jump rope act and has been with Cirque Dreams for about three years. "We really appreciate this opportunity to travel and to share what we do; and we want to be thankful for what (service members) do for us so it's giving and giving back. "I hope that it will inspire people and help them to realize that even though there's dark times, that everybody has a little bit of joy, and we want to bring that joy to the U.S military," Reisig said.
